Costco treats fuel as a member perk rather than a profit line: it buys in bulk from the same regional terminals that supply the name-brand stations nearby and prices each warehouse every morning to undercut them, typically by 20 to 40 cents a gallon in the US. Because the reset tracks the wholesale market, prices drift day to day rather than jumping, which is what the 30-day charts above are for.
In the US and Canada every grade is Kirkland Signature and Top Tier certified, so the cheapest station is not cutting corners on quality. Most locations there carry regular and premium, and a minority also sell diesel. Every country needs an active membership card at the pump; in the US and Canada a Costco Shop Card also works for non-members, and payment is card-only, Visa in the US and Mastercard in Canada. Gas hours run longer than the warehouse, usually from about 6 a.m. on weekdays in North America.

What kind of gas does Costco sell?

Why is Costco gas cheaper than other gas stations?
